Overview
Based in Sydney, Australia, H is an independent online retailer of fine wine. The business offers a wide range of wines from all around the world: France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, USA, …, from red wine to Rose wine at all prices.
Challenges
The merchants wanted to build a wine management system and sale, as well as product review management. Further, they required us to customize their website’s product search so that their customers can search by product name or by category. As for purchasing, they wanted multiple payment methods, instead of only one. There are many features we needed to add as mentioned below:
- User’s ability to buy products by quantity or per barrel of wine (1 case of 6 bottles or 12 bottles).
- Users’ ability to register to buy products on a quarterly basis (in a quarter, the store will select products according to customers who have ordered).
- Mixed products according to admin.
- User’s signup account.
Solutions
With the help of Magesolution, the wine business has had a user-friendly website. All functionalities have been implemented. We developed the Custom Product Type function and customized apps to set minimum and maximum quantity when customers order any product. Before, they hadn’t had Newsletter and Contact Us pages, and we had to create them so that online customers could add them for more information about the products, or collaboration as well. Those are some remarkable functions, others are listed below:
- Use Ajax add to cart and product’s tag to add to cart by bottle or case.
- Show product list as dropdown when using search function.
- Create a customized setting to build the content.
- Customize simple pages.
- Display Recurring billing.
- Have multiple Shopify Payments.
